Don't Look for This in the City Archive
I grew up west of amiskwaciy on scrip land with my moshom.
Our nation was enfranchised, meaning we no longer have reserve land or colonially
legal title as a nation. You can help with Michel First Nation's legal fees to
become reinstated as a band here:

**This really is a personal reflection of enfranchisement, and my own stories to how I know scrip land, instead of the stiff colonial language used to describe it. Mostly though, this isn't a colonial archive that erases and neglects the gossip exchanged between saskatoon bushes, the graves of every buried dog or bird, and the desire paths our feet made through generations in prairie grasses.
So please, don't look for this in the city archive.
